Good show, saw Gary from the Skidmarks there- place was remarkably full for it being a Thurs. Night. Also saw some French kid get taunted for having a Pink cd. Toowamp kicked ass, we also played a good long set. However, there were a couple of drunken mike hogs standing right by the mikes who couldn't resist bellowing death metal vocals during our set. I was having a good time playing (through Stab's amp), but listening to the tape it's a little irritating- you got us playing our set, then you hear all this "whheeeeeeaaaarrrrrgggggggtgggghhhh-eeeeeeeeeeeeee-eeeeee" over the PA in inappropriate moments. Now if we were going out of our way to have monkey sound effects, we'd just go to the damn zoo and tape monkeys, triggering them into the set at Appropriate moments. We may have to be a little more adamant about the mikes. I ended up unplugging mine to keep saliva from being sprayed all over it. I gave the responsible parties a little shit afterward, and they were cool; just got into the music and went wild with it (if you were one of those clowns, just relax and don't get butt hurt- learn the words next time). Would have been ok on one song, just not the whole set. Devious did the intro and Clean and Full, and Corey kicked out some cool vocals. update- Metal was hella sick and coughing up a lung.
