we played with Second Class citizens and Sheephead on Saturday Current mood: listening to "Nuggets 2" box set (downloaded of co and was it a kick ass show? Well, if you know anything about these bands, then you already know the answer. First off, I left So. Cal. in the morning. Got to San Jose in the afternoon. Went to Metal's sister's pad. Then we (Metal, myself, Meister Brown) left for Tahoe. Drive was fairly smooth, and the only blow by was when we actually got to Tahoe. We blew by South Lake Tahoe drive. If you don't know how we usually travel, well, let me tell you. Metal was in the back of the truck with the gear, Meister brown rode with comfort in the front, and I drove. We played for about 50 minutes or so. Then Second Class Citizens played for about 45 minutes, and finally Sheephead played for about the same. Hoss Hoggs is a cool bar/restaurant on the California side (no gambling eh?). We ended up splitting later that night. Metal was really fucking drunk and was knocking on the window separating the truck cab and the back for about 20 minutes after. When we went to a gas station to get a hot dog sometime in the early morning, the women there were paranoid and didn't want to let anyone in the service station. All i wanted was a hot dog. They let me in eventually because I wanted onions, mustard, and jalapenos on it. Metal had to piss. Of course we all had to piss, but the hugely tall weeds behind the gas station made the choice obvious. Of course, Metal had to get the last word in and wrote a short note that said, "boo" that he had to show the chicks who worked at the station. Clown???!!! So we got back to San Jose some time in the early ass morning. Slept for a few hours, woke up, showered, went over to Meister Brown's girl's house and hung for a while, getting my ass killed in Grand Theft Auto. Went to Metal's sister's house for a short time to get some special effects, then came back for a barbeque of some killer steak, salad, and various other edibles. We went down to the king's head ( a bar in Campbell) for the open mike night. Their PA took a shit, so we went "amp can" and played sans vocals, sans wall electricity, and still managed to kick ass. The dude after us, Chris played some Joe Walsh on acoustic and rocked the place. Also met Metal's girl, who afterward played some great acoustic/vocal stuff (hopefully we can record some of her stuff, maybe with the Eyesores as backing band!), then finally we went back to Metal's pad, I crashed out for a few hours, then drove home. It was a successful trip, and once again, the Eyesores confirmed everything that has been said about them. Take that how you choose to take it. That's it. Dog
