The Eyesores- party with Kalifornia Taliban and Horchata near Diamond Bar
this was a wild party in the sense that we played it as a 2 piece, the first 7 songs had pre-recorded guitar bits. Metal blew through some of the cues, and I sat there fucking around with a click track, but it went off surprisingly well. KT and Horchata both kicked ass with hardcore energy.
the Myspace post:
new posted songs from the Party May 20, 2006 Very eventful weekend, last weekend. We had this party scheduled with Kalifornia Taliban and Horchata. Trouble is, the only band members we could scrounge up was myself and Metal. Guess what, we played the damn thing anyway as a 2 piece. We pulled a Greg Ginn manouver and made a guitar player appear out of thin ice. Of course we recorded the whole fucking thing, and then I put a short clip of the best sounding stuff together to post on our site (after Stick Witch, whose ill-fated Sharks reference has hockey fans, especially people in Alberta all over laughing at us- right after they spend their TAX REBATE CHECKS that come from our $3.50 per gallon gas!). Later that night, I played in Crash Coarse at Sugars with Malachi Bros, Dick Politic, and Bondage Fairies. Of course Metal played "hog the mic" all night, but in actual truth he only did backups for a couple of tunes, and didn't blither into the mike too much. Vinny filled in on bass as regular bassist Chad was unavailable. later, 'bators. DG ps: oh yeah, the songs I posted from the show are Hullo, Ralph (from Ralph's Weiners CD, and it just so happened that Ralph from the Taliban set it all up); then Alpine, and She Flew The Coupe (our Rubber Soul meets Paul Stanley tune- if Paul Stanley gargled with piss before singing) complete with my new acoustic Martin Backpacker guitar- which kicks ass by the way. It just "played itself". You should get one.
