Monday, April 30, 2007 man did Famous tea ever kick ass last night A band I've been aware of for 15 or 16 years, yet was too young at the time to get into the gigs (when I brought that up people grimaced as I was unintentionally making them feel old, but hey.. age is all relative and usually in your mind- you're only as old as you behave!!!!) really ripped shit up and rocked the house at Fern's - we played sans Chad who is off in sunny, humid Florida, but he was there in spirit as he set it up! Good show, can't wait to do it again.
First of all- I've been derilect in updating this site probably because promoting the bands on Myspace has taken up much online time, but with that said- Crashcoarse just played with Famous tea at Ferns in Long Beach, Dick Politic has been playing lmost every friday t Sugars with bands like Punk As a doornail, Initial Threat, and of course Crashcoarse and the Eyesores- the CC7 are readying themselves for some shows this summer..... Also Dog did a solo acoustic set- some Gilbert Godfried guy (the hecklers always sound like Gilbert Dogfried form some reason--) as there were references to drugs made (one of the songs was a Crazy Horse song by Danny Whitten who died of an H overdose, and had written a song, "Come on baby, lets' go downtown" about scoring. So The song was intro'd as what it was, and homes didn't like the drug references. Never mind that Dog doesn't touch that shit. Also he kept on haranging Dog about various incomprehensible drunken babble that, after a certain point, went in one ear and out the other, bypassing the massive brain inside. The guy apparently wanted to jam with Dog but Dog just didn't want to know and ended up splitting. So if you want more current updates, go to Eyespace.
